Grayson DeMarco and Pratik Gurung have been named as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. The students entered the program by taking the Preliminary SAT examduring their junior year at Saratoga Springs High School. To qualify, students had to score in the top one percent of all seniors from across the country on the exam. Semifinalists have the opportunity to compete in the National Merit Scholarship competition. In addition, Claire Aibel, Kevin Coburn, Brianna Dungate, Hans Fulton, Emma Kerr and Haley Smaldone have been named as commended students in the program. Commended students are also recognized for their outstanding performance on the qualifying test, but they do not continue on in the competition.
