After six years together with one daughter and a nephew they love like a son, Pablo Jimenez and Paula Sauceda began their happily ever after. The couple met through a mutual friend and began dating six months later. On Paula’s 21st birthday, Pablo took her to the site of their first date to ask her to be his wife. “We were on our way to Olive Garden and he asked if I was that hungry,” she said. “He then asked if I wanted to go to the mountain to take a couple of pictures. We got to the mountain and he took me to the same exact spot we had our first date.” After popping the question, Paula said she didn’t know what to think. “He told me how much he loves me and the he could never imagine his life without me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, then he got down on one knee,” she said. “I stood there for a second with my hand over my mouth and immediately began crying. Finally I snapped back and attacked him with a bear hug and said yes.”
The big day: Nov. 16, 2013
Best Man and Maid of Honor: Steve Cummins, boss and best friend of the
groom, and Maria Yañez, best friend of the bride.
The location: Royal Ridge Barn.
The reception: The reception was also at the Royal Ridge Barn and food was served and prepared by family members of both bride and groom. The groom was the DJ for our wedding — DJ Onix — and did a great job. The cake was made by Sarah Villaseñor at Spa City Cakes.
The look: The colors I incorporated are my favorite colors, black and pink. Decor and centerpieces were all inspired by Pinterest. I worked day and night on centerpieces and decor. The only floral arrangement I had in the wedding was my boquet which was eight hot pink roses with bling and hot pink satin that wrapped the stems.
The dress: My dress was a sweetheart charmeuse gown that I had altered to have a lace-up back.
Most unforgettable moment: While in the midst of our first dance, the groom got the kids and we finished off our dances with our son and daughter.
