Nancy June Bryant, 84, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015.

Nancy June “Junie” was born March 24, 1931, in Stamps, Ark., to former Hot Springs mayor, Maj. Gen. Earl T. Ricks and his wife Hazel Brown Ricks. As a lifelong horsewoman, she participat­ed in many varied styles of equine competitio­n including American Saddlebred, western pleasure and thoroughbr­ed racing. In 1946, she was selected as the Arkansas State Fair Rodeo Queen. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyteri­an Church of Hot Springs where over the years she had served as a Sunday school teacher and later as a deacon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert ( Bob) M. Bryant, and brother, Earl T. Ricks Jr.

Survivors include her three sons, Bob ( Debbie) Bryant, Tab Bryant and Bill ( Linda) Bryant; sisters, Shannon ( Vache) Cammack and Gaye Spruell; grandchild­ren, Amy ( R. J.) Martino, Zeke Bryant, Brooke ( Cody) Russell, Randi Bryant and Raelynn Bryant; great- grandchild­ren, Bryant Martino, Adalyn Martino; and a host of in- laws, nieces, nephews and friends whom she all held dear.

Visitation will be from 5- 7 p. m. today at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p. m. Friday at First Presbyteri­an Church of Hot Springs. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Garland County.
