James B. Minor
James Boyd Minor, Hot Springs, passed Aug. 24, 2016.
He was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Pomona, Calif., to the late Fred Boyd and Rose (Caffey) Minor.
Jim spent many years with Mobil Oil. Whether it was skiing, sailing or going on cruises, he loved boats and spent countless hours on the water. Jim was a handyman with a passionate determination to fix or remodel homes, apartments, and most anything that needed a loving touch. His passions were his family, working, reading and homemade Butterfinger ice cream.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Beth Minor; three sons, Scott and Karen Minor of Little Rock; Jay and Traci Minor of Los Angeles, Calif.; David and Sarah Minor of Hot Springs; sister, Mary and Roger King of Sapulpa, Okla.; and nine grandchildren, Allison, Jayelle, Weston, Cameron, Jonathan, Garrett, Jakeob, Kyle and Brooklyn.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Valley Community Church with his son, Jay Minor, officiating.
The family appreciates the care he received from Dr. Scott Anderson, Dr. Peter Guresky, Dr. Martin Koehn and the entire staff of Arkansas Hospice, and most importantly, the Pasco family who cared for him so intimately in the final months.
