‘FLUFFING’ THE BEDS

-

Members of Garland County Master Gardeners recently worked at the Garland County Courthouse and law enforcement memorial. The volunteers “fluffed” the beds, weeded, trimmed, bagged, swept and fought fire ants. Soil samples were taken to the Garland County Extension Office for testing. The yellow lantana and variegated liriope were in full bloom, so they helped them last until fall planting starts. Standing from left are Jeff Finney, Pam Connor, Pat Osborn, Lynn Sherwood, Sandy Morad, Kay Adams, James B. Moore Jr., Susan Deimel; kneeling, Sheila Springs and Pam McCoy. Not pictured are Wayne Patterson, Carol Scrivner, Barb Smith, Kay Skoog and Michael Carr. The next scheduled work day is at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 13. Master gardeners should start planting.
