Gingerbread Day at museum

Mid-America Science Museum will host Gingerbread Day beginning at 9 a.m. today.

The museum store will offer complimentary gingerbread cookies and cider. Guests will also receive 25 percent off purchases in the museum store, a news release said.

Complimentary gift wrapping will be available to museum members for items purchased in the store.

Guests who are interested in becoming members or who would like to purchase a membership as a gift will receive $10 off on family memberships throughout the entire day. Discounts on memberships and store items will be available only at the museum.

Starting at 11 a.m., the Alliance Rubber Co. Tinkering Studio will turn into an elves’ workshop, the release said. With the help of museum educators, guests will be able to create cardboard gingerbread houses, LED snowmen and winter-themed origami.
