Beverly G. Coulombe

Beverly Gibbs Coulombe, 78, of Hot Springs, passed away June 16, 2017.

She was born April 10, 1939, in Pine Bluff, to the late A.B. “Buster” & Minnie Marie (Lowrey) Coleman, and moved to Hot Springs when she was one year old.

Beverly was a registered nurse for 55 years and a member of First Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Dorotha Allison Jewell; a brother-in-law, Frank Allison; and John Graham Gibbs, the father of her sons.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leon “Leo” Coulombe; two sons, John Graham Gibbs and Kevin Arthur Gibbs; stepson, Ralph (Shelly) Coulombe; granddaugh­ters, Katherine McKensen Gibbs and Kaelyn Coulombe.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ralph Farese

Ralph Farese, 69, of Hot Springs, died Monday, June 12, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hot Springs Funeral Home, with Wade Beams officiatin­g. He will have full military honors by VFW Post 2278. A luncheon will follow the service at the VFW Post 2278.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post 2278 Honor Guard Team.

Floy R. Foster

Floy Rookard Foster, 70, of Hot Springs, died Saturday, June 17, 2017.

James H. Graves

James Henry Graves, 95, of Hot Springs, passed from this life Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

He was born Oct. 20, 1921, to Sam and Nola Belcher Graves. They preceded him in death, as well as his siblings and a grandson, James Graves, and a son-inlaw, Stephen Bailey.

Mr. Graves was noted for his infectious smile and friendline­ss. He was the owner and operator of “James Dairy Bar,” a family restaurant that served the best steaks and seafood in town.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, James Leray Graves, of Chicago, Ill.; his daughters, Clara (Garland) Puckett, of Hot Springs, Patricia Bailey, of Douglasvil­le, Ga., and Shelia Bishop, of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, James Graves, of Chicago, Ill.; the mother of his children, Lola Graves, of Hot Springs; seven grandchild­ren; and a host of great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Historic Visitors Chapel AME Church, with the Rev. Juanita Jackson delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 at the funeral home.

Mary L. Guerrero

Mary Louise Guerrero, 86, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017.

Mary was born June 9, 1931, in Oak Park, Ill., daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Gatke) Croslin. She was a homemaker and interprete­r, and enjoyed gardening, tennis and traveling. She had various college degrees in languages.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Guerrero. They were married in Barcelona, Spain, in 1956.

Mary is survived by her three children, Gary Thomas (Tom) Guerrero, Charles (Chuck) Guerrero and Lisa Kathryn Guerrero; sister Jeannie Morris (Henry); three grandchild­ren; three great-grandchild­ren and two nieces.

A prayer service will be held in her honor at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Deacon Mike Johns officiatin­g.
