Jerry Dean Allensworth, 67, of Bismarck, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2017. He was born in Texarkana, Ark., on April 8, 1950, to Elmer and Ethel Allensworth.
Jerry attended First Southern Baptist Church in Bismarck. He retired after 30 years with Caterpillar and moved to Bismarck, where he created Country Charm B& B and Log Homes. He also was the co-founder of the Bismarck Business Association and the Barbeque Bash. Jerry was a log home dealer for 10 years with Appalachian Log Structures Company. His hobbies included raising racing pigeons, fishing, golfing and gardening.
He is predeceased by his parents and special aunt, Jessie Lowe.
Loving survivors include his devoted wife, Marianne Allensworth; daughter, Rachel Dawson; grandchildren, David and Emily Dawson; three brothers, Wayne, Jack and Glen Allensworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Brother Evan Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Lowe, Kevin Bennett, Larry Spann, Butch Graves and Sonny Wetherington.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
