James H. Conway, 79, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Genevieve “Honi” Cooper, age 93, of Hot Springs Village, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017.
She was born May 4, 1924, in Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray Jobie Cooper.
She had no known survivors. No formal service will be held.
Arrangements are entrusted to Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services.
Mary E.B. Dees
NEWHOPE — Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Brewer Dees, 55, of Newhope, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2017.
The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church with Brothers Raymond Dees and Kevin Jewell officiating.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday in Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Glenwood.
Wayn Ledbetter, 48, died in Hot Springs, Ark., on Aug. 28, 2017.
He was born on Aug. 20, 1969, in Dunoon, Scotland, and grew up in Hot Springs. He was a graduate of Fountain Lake High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of the Emergency Medical Science program at UAMS.
Wayn was a first responder who worked as a paramedic for over 20 years in Texas, Georgia, Colorado and Arkansas. He touched the hearts of many and saved numerous lives doing the work he loved. He was a gifted vocalist and drummer with a great love for music. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, co-worker and friend who will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his father and mother, Clifford and Margaret Ledbetter; his brother, Garry Ledbetter; his sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Aaron Boyette; his nephew, Zeke Ledbetter; his nieces, Riley and Linsey Ledbetter and Eden and Daphne Boyette; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.

Rodney “Rod” Pepper, 68, of Hot Springs, passed away Aug. 26, 2017.
He was born June 29, 1949, in Talladega, Ala., to Lee and Ruby Pepper. Rod was a talented musician and played lead guitar for several bands.
He is predeceased by his father and niece, Amy Talbert.
Loving survivors include his mother, Ruby DeYoung; daughters, Rachel (John) Pfenenger, Adrienne (Harley) Helton and Angie (Charlie) Vaught; grandchildren, Roman Vaught, John Mason Pfenenger and Amy Pfenenger; sister, Marcie (Ray) Sliger; nephew, Mason Sliger.
A memorial service in Rod’s honor will be held at a later date.

ROCKPORT — Helen Strawn Reed, 86, of Rockport, died Aug. 30, 2017.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern.
The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God, Malvern.
Ruth Robbins, 93, of Hot Springs, died Aug. 29, 2017.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home with the service at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Buckville Cemetery.
