HOT SPRINGS VIL­LAGE — Genevieve “Honi” Cooper, age 93, of Hot Springs Vil­lage, died Fri­day, Aug. 25, 2017.

She was born May 4, 1924, in Iowa. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents and her hus­band, Ray Jo­bie Cooper.

She had no known sur­vivors. No for­mal ser­vice will be held.

Ar­range­ments are en­trusted to Car­ri­gan Me­mo­rial Funeral Ser­vices.

NEWHOPE — Mary El­iz­a­beth “Liz” Brewer Dees, 55, of Newhope, died Mon­day, Aug. 28, 2017.

The me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 10 a.m. Satur­day in Mount Joy Free Will Bap­tist Church with Broth­ers Ray­mond Dees and Kevin Jewell of­fi­ci­at­ing.

Visi­ta­tion will be 6-8 p.m. Fri­day in Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Glen­wood.

Wayn Led­bet­ter

Wayn Led­bet­ter, 48, died in Hot Springs, Ark., on Aug. 28, 2017.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1969, in Dunoon, Scot­land, and grew up in Hot Springs. He was a grad­u­ate of Foun­tain Lake High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was a grad­u­ate of the Emer­gency Med­i­cal Science pro­gram at UAMS.

Wayn was a first re­spon­der who worked as a para­medic for over 20 years in Texas, Ge­or­gia, Colorado and Arkansas. He touched the hearts of many and saved nu­mer­ous lives do­ing the work he loved. He was a gifted vo­cal­ist and drum­mer with a great love for mu­sic. He was a beloved son, brother, un­cle, co-worker and friend who will be sorely missed.

He is sur­vived by his fa­ther and mother, Clif­ford and Mar­garet Led­bet­ter; his brother, Garry Led­bet­ter; his sis­ter and brother-in-law, An­gela and Aaron Boyette; his nephew, Zeke Led­bet­ter; his nieces, Ri­ley and Lin­sey Led­bet­ter and Eden and Daphne Boyette; and nu­mer­ous aunts, un­cles, cousins and friends.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held in his honor at 6:30 p.m. Fri­day at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Satur­day at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, fol­lowed by burial at Cal­vary Ceme­tery. All are wel­come to at­tend.

Rod­ney “Rod” Pep­per, 68, of Hot Springs, passed away Aug. 26, 2017.

He was born June 29, 1949, in Tal­ladega, Ala., to Lee and Ruby Pep­per. Rod was a tal­ented mu­si­cian and played lead gui­tar for sev­eral bands.

He is pre­de­ceased by his fa­ther and niece, Amy Tal­bert.

Lov­ing sur­vivors in­clude his mother, Ruby DeYoung; daugh­ters, Rachel (John) Pfe­nenger, Adri­enne (Har­ley) Hel­ton and Angie (Char­lie) Vaught; grand­chil­dren, Ro­man Vaught, John Ma­son Pfe­nenger and Amy Pfe­nenger; sis­ter, Mar­cie (Ray) Sliger; nephew, Ma­son Sliger.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice in Rod’s honor will be held at a later date.

ROCK­PORT — Helen Strawn Reed, 86, of Rock­port, died Aug. 30, 2017.

Visi­ta­tion will be from 6-8 p.m. to­day at Atkin­son Funeral Home, Malvern.

The ser­vice will be 10 a.m. Fri­day at First Assem­bly of God, Malvern.

Ruth Rob­bins, 93, of Hot Springs, died Aug. 29, 2017.

Visi­ta­tion will be­gin at 1 p.m. Fri­day at Gross Funeral Home with the ser­vice at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Buckville Ceme­tery.
