Mas­ter Sgt. Bobby Jean Otwell, USAF re­tired, 89, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Mon­day, April 16, 2018.

He was born Dec. 7, 1928, in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late John Franklin and Elsie Lee (Price) Otwell. Bob served three years in the U.S. Navy and 19 years in the U.S. Air Force as a jet en­gine me­chanic. Dur­ing his time in ser­vice, he served in World War II, Korea and Viet­nam. Af­ter re­tire­ment, he worked for St. Vin­cent In­fir­mary Med­i­cal Cen­ter for 20 years in the Main­te­nance/En­gi­neer­ing Depart­ment. He was a mem­ber of Hot Springs Bap­tist Church, where he vol­un­teered with the grounds crew as long as health per­mit­ted. Bob was a for­mer mem­ber of the Ma­sonic Lodge

754, Sher­wood, Ark.; the Scot­tish Rite, Lit­tle Rock, Ark.; and the Ahmed Shriners Tem­ple, Mar­quette, Mich. He also en­joyed deer hunt­ing, fish­ing, golf, camp­ing and mu­sic.

Bob is sur­vived by his wife of

60 years, Anita Jean (Rad­cliff) Otwell; son, Marc (Tina) Otwell; grand­chil­dren, Tay­lor Otwell (Abi­gail) and Dar­ian Blair (Tyler); and great-grand­chil­dren, James Otwell, Vic­to­ria Otwell and Bar­rett Blair.

Grave­side ser­vice will be held at Hol­ly­wood Ceme­tery on Wed­nes­day, April 18, for fam­ily and dear friends, un­der the di­rec­tion of Gross Fu­neral Home.
