Richard H. Kelley
Richard “Dick” Hoyt Kelley,
83, of Hot Springs, passed away April 13, 2018.
He was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Cambridge, Mass., to the late Joseph James Kelley and Phyllis Hoyt Kelley.
He is survived by his wife of
55 years, Janet Williams Kelley; sons, Stephen Hoyt Kelley, Hot Springs, and Joseph James Kelley, Orlando, Fla.; grandsons, Nathaniel, Brooks and Hudson; and granddaughter, Sierra.
Dick was proceeded in death by parents, Joseph and Phyllis; and brother, Joseph James Kelley Jr.
Dick was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, class of 1956. He retired as a commander from the U.S. Navy after four years active and 16 years in the reserve, proudly serving aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Oriskany. Dick joined Texaco in the sales department in 1962, retiring in 1986. He was very active serving in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary during the 20 years before his death.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Hot Springs at 2 p.m.
