Richard “Dick” Hoyt Kel­ley,

83, of Hot Springs, passed away April 13, 2018.

He was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Cam­bridge, Mass., to the late Joseph James Kel­ley and Phyl­lis Hoyt Kel­ley.

He is sur­vived by his wife of

55 years, Janet Williams Kel­ley; sons, Stephen Hoyt Kel­ley, Hot Springs, and Joseph James Kel­ley, Or­lando, Fla.; grand­sons, Nathaniel, Brooks and Hud­son; and grand­daugh­ter, Sierra.

Dick was pro­ceeded in death by par­ents, Joseph and Phyl­lis; and brother, Joseph James Kel­ley Jr.

Dick was a grad­u­ate of Mas­sachusetts Mar­itime Academy, class of 1956. He re­tired as a com­man­der from the U.S. Navy af­ter four years ac­tive and 16 years in the re­serve, proudly serv­ing aboard the air­craft car­rier the USS Oriskany. Dick joined Tex­aco in the sales depart­ment in 1962, re­tir­ing in 1986. He was very ac­tive serv­ing in the U.S. Coast Guard Aux­il­iary dur­ing the 20 years be­fore his death.

A memo­rial ser­vice will be held at First Pres­by­te­rian Church of Hot Springs at 2 p.m.
