Crews have been pouring concrete for the second floor of the new Student Commons Building on campus at National Park College, polishing the concrete on the building’s first floor, and pouring the stairwell this week, according to Brad Hopper, director of physical plant and maintenance. Road construction takes place as weather permits, and work is expected to ramp up next week as crews begin work on the building’s plumbing, electrical and exterior walls. The Student Commons Building is one part of the $15 million Phase One of the college’s master plan, which also includes renovation of the Fisher Campus Center, and updates to technical program facilities.
