Jones to ad­dress NACCP to­day

The NAACP will hold its monthly meet­ing at 2 p.m. to­day at the Webb Com­mu­nity Cen­ter with the Rev. Dou­glas A. Jones, a na­tive of Hot

Springs, as guest speaker.

The youngest son of Rev. Dou­glas E. and

Gla­dys Jones, and the hus­band of Laquilla Jones, the Rev. Jones has been the se­nior pas­tor of Gar­rett Chapel Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church in Hope for around five years.

Jones is the pres­i­dent of the Mu­sic Wor­ship and Arts Aux­il­iary of the South­west District As­so­ci­a­tion. He is also the owner of Scripted Ink Screen print­ing.

The NAACP is the na­tion’s old­est civil rights or­ga­ni­za­tion.
