LA holds lead over Rangers

As of The Sig­nal’s press dead­line, the Dodgers led the Texas Rangers 12-3 in the top of the ninth in­ning in Los An­ge­les.

Yasiel Puig was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for he Dodgers with a dou­ble and a home run. Joc Ped­er­son was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a home run and a dou­ble and Max Muncy was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a home run.

Caleb Fer­gu­son threw four in­nings, giv­ing up five hits while strik­ing out three.

Mariners 6, An­gels 3

Mike Trout led the Ha­los, go­ing 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two home runs — one off of Mike Leake and an­other off of Ryan Cook. Trout now leads the MLB with 23 homers of the sea­son.

Luis Val­buena was 2-for-4. Jaime Barria al­lowed eight hits and recorded two strike­outs in five in­nings.
