VILLA PARK 35, SAUGUS 21
It won’t be a lopsided win for the Spartans, but their defense will give them an edge over the Centurions. Saugus’ balanced offense will have to perform better than it ever has before in this season in order for the team to come out with a win.
WEST RANCH 28, OXNARD 24
Oxnard has size, strength and skill to go with an offense that’s very good in almost every way. The Wildcats’ defense has been performing well under the radar this season, but tonight is when it will really shine.
VILLA PARK 31, SAUGUS 14
Cole Gallagher and company will have their hands full with a Villa Park defense that has averaged just above 10 points per game in 11 contest this season to opposing offenses. The Centurions will need to have a balanced attack to keep up with the Spartans.
OXNARD 28, WEST RANCH 21
West Ranch will have to score early and fast to keep up with an Oxnard offense that has scored 110-of-123 total points in the first half of the past three games. Wildcats running back Ryan Camacho must establish a strong running game early to allow quarterback Weston Eget to expose the holes and passing lanes in the defense.
SAUGUS 31, VILLA PARK 24
All good things must come to an end, and that’s going to be the case for undefeated Villa Park who will get handed its first loss of the season by Saugus tonight. The Centurions have proven all season that their defense can hold its own and their offense is starting to hit another gear, putting up 79 points in the last two games.
WEST RANCH 42, OXNARD 35
After an exciting come-from-behind win on the road last week, West Ranch will ride that momentum into tonight’s contest against a formidable Oxnard team. Both squads have exciting offenses and under-theradar defenses, but the Wildcats will outlast the Yellowjackets in a potential shootout.
