Leg­endary Arpeg­gio Jazz En­sem­ble to ap­pear at Adult Cen­ter

The TriCounty Ac­tive Adult Cen­ter wel­comes the pop­u­lar Arpeg­gio Jazz En­sem­ble on Sun­day, May 21, for a 2 p.m. per­for­mance.

The ge­n­e­sis of the Arpeg­gio sound was cre­ated in 1979 by bassist War­ren Oree. The group has be­come a per­ma­nent seg­ment in the in­fi­nite col­lage of jazz mu­sic. This per­for­mance will fea­ture a spe­cial ap­pear­ance by vo­cal­ist Kristin Cal­la­han.

Arpeg­gio’s reper­toire in­cludes orig­i­nal and stan­dard com­po­si­tions. Ev­ery­one in the band com­poses which gives the group a ver­sa­tile sound that ap­peals to a va­ri­ety of au­di­ences. Their mu­sic is flex­i­ble, rang­ing from soft, con­tem­pla­tive melodies, to en­er­getic, multi-rhyth­mic ar­range­ments. It is not un­usual for au­di­ences to break out in dance in re­sponse to some of the pul­sat­ing beats is­su­ing forth from the band­stand.

Tick­ets are $25, $20 for se­nior and stu­dents, and can be pur­chased at the door or


prior to the show at the TriCounty Ac­tive Adult Cen­ter, 288 Moser Road, Pottstown. Seat­ing is lim­ited. Snacks and non-al­co­holic bev­er­ages are in­cluded, and food and will be also avail­able for sale. Guests are wel­come to BYOB.

The TriCounty Ac­tive Adult Cen­ter serves adults age 50 and bet­ter with pro­grams and ser­vices in­clud­ing in­for­ma­tion and re­fer­ral as­sis­tance, a daily lunch, ex­er­cise pro­grams, so­cial ac­tiv­i­ties, and much more. The mis­sion is to en­hance the well-be­ing of older adults by pro­vid­ing ser­vices and ac­tiv­i­ties that pro­mote an in­de­pen­dent and healthy life style. The Cen­ter has more than 2,500 mem­bers re­sid­ing in the tri-county area.
