Travis Coy Hunter

Travis Hunter passed away on Oc­to­ber 20, 2017.

Born on May 14, 1977, Travis lived life ad­ven­tur­ously and with a big heart. Those who truly knew him were blessed with his huge kilo­watt smiles, hu­mor­ous per­son­al­ity and sweet heart. He walked his own walk, and owned his life.

Some of Travis’ proud­est ac­com­plish­ments were achiev­ing a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, win­ning a wrestling Penn­syl­va­nia State Cham­pi­onship while grad­u­at­ing high school from the West-Mont Chris­tian Acad­emy in 1996, serv­ing his coun­try in the Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk un­til 1999 and his mem­ber­ship in the Car­pen­ters Union.

Travis loved work­ing on projects around his house, as well as help­ing out friends and fam­ily with their projects at a mo­ment’s no­tice. Travis also had a pas­sion for tend­ing to his gar­den, shar­ing the har­vest, spend­ing time hunt­ing with his fa­ther and feel­ing the wind against his face while rid­ing his mo­tor­cy­cle.

Above all, Travis’ proud­est ac­com­plish­ments were his three chil­dren, Tru, Karis and Carly.

Travis is also sur­vived by his par­ents Randy and Judy Hunter, sis­ter and brother-in-law Mandy and Scott Lobaugh, niece Brooke Mullen and nephew Trevor Lobaugh, grand­par­ents Doug and Ginny Sny­der, Char­lie Miller, along with an in­cred­i­ble fam­ily unit of aunts, un­cles, cousins and large fam­ily con­tin­gency liv­ing in Arkansas. Travis is pre­de­ceased by his grand­mother Jewell Miller and grand­fa­ther Bob Hunter.

To honor Travis’ wishes, a Cel­e­bra­tion of Life was be held on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 29th at Key­stone Fire Hall, 240 N Wal­nut St., Boy­er­town, PA 19512.
