Lo­cal res­i­dent to lead chap­ter of State CPA As­so­ci­a­tion

Stephanie E. Kane, a cer­ti­fied pub­lic ac­coun­tant (CPA), was elected pres­i­dent of the Read­ing Chap­ter of the Penn­syl­va­nia In­sti­tute of Cer­ti­fied Pub­lic Ac­coun­tants (PICPA) for the 20182019 fis­cal year.

Kane is a man­ager in the tax ser­vices group of RKL LLP in Wyomissing, Pa., where she spe­cial­izes in non­profit and pass-through en­tity tax re­port­ing. Kane serves on the PICPA Read­ing Chap­ter Com­mu­nity En­gage­ment, Emerg­ing CPAs, Hol­i­day Ben­e­fit Lun­cheon, and Nom­i­na­tions com­mit­tees. Out­side of the PICPA, Kane serves on the board of Berks Con­nec­tions Pre­trial Ser­vices. She is also an alum and for­mer pres­i­dent of Lead­er­ship Berks Class of 2015, and is a found­ing board mem­ber and past pres­i­dent of Happy 2 Be Home.

Kane, a res­i­dent of Douglassville, re­ceived her bach­e­lor’s de­gree in ac­count­ing at York Col­lege of Penn­syl­va­nia, grad­u­at­ing magna cum laude.
