Third an­nual Blazer Days Car­ni­val June 27-30

The Blazer Ed­u­ca­tion Foun­da­tion in­vites you to save the date for the Third An­nual Blazer Days Car­ni­val, a com­mu­nity cel­e­bra­tion for the Greater Daniel Boone Area.

Blazer Days kicks off on Wed­nes­day, June 27, and runs through Satur­day, June 30, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Area High School in Birdsboro. New at­trac­tions this year in­clude hot air bal­loon rides, the Blazer Days 5K run, the Blazer Days Flea Mar­ket, an ex­panded food menu and live en­ter­tain­ment. Fam­ily Night, Touch a Truck Night and Pa­tri­otic Night will re­turn by pop­u­lar de­mand. Free park­ing is avail­able on the car­ni­val grounds.

Amuse­ment rides, pro­vided by Tons of Fun Shows, of­fer thrills for every age group. Ride tick­ets will be avail­able each night, with un­lim­ited ride wrist­bands of­fered on Wed­nes­day and Thurs­day. At­ten­dees who pur­chase a Mega Pass can en­joy un­lim­ited rides every night of the event. Free live en­ter­tain­ment, fea­tur­ing Stephanie Grace, Lat­i­tude 24, DJ Jar­rad Sand­man and Flamin’ Dick & The Hot Rods will be held nightly on the Blazer Days Stage.

Lo­cal ven­dors will be on hand each night, as well as the First An­nual Blazer Days In­door Flea Mar­ket on Satur­day, June 30, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. From an­tiques to house­hold items and fur­ni­ture, as well as new and used mer­chan­dise, this mar­ket is sure to of­fer a com­plete shop­ping ex­pe­ri­ence. Find your trea­sure be­fore any­one else, for a small fee, by tak­ing ad­van­tage of our spe­cial early bird ad­mis­sion start­ing at 4:00 p.m. on Fri­day, June 29.

The four-night cel­e­bra­tion cul­mi­nates with a fire­works fi­nale on, Satur­day, June 30, at 10:00 p.m. (rain date July 1). The event is in­tended to bring peo­ple to­gether for four days of food, mu­sic, and fun, build­ing upon the strong sense of co­op­er­a­tion and col­lab­o­ra­tion that makes the Daniel Boone Area such a great com­mu­nity.

Wed­nes­day, June 27, Fam­ily Night fea­tur­ing un­lim­ited ride passes, lo­cal mas­cots and char­ac­ters, teth­ered hot air bal­loon rides, free mu­sic by Stephanie Grace.

Thurs­day, June 28, Touch A Truck Night fea­tur­ing un­lim­ited ride passes, get an up-close look at firetrucks, am­bu­lances, army ve­hi­cles, tanker trucks and more! Free mu­sic by Lat­i­tude 24.

Fri­day, June 29, 5K Glow Run and Dance Party fea­tur­ing a 5K through the streets of Birdsboro be­gin­ning at 7:30 p.m. fol­lowed by DJ Sand­man spin­ning the tunes for our Glow Dance Party!

Satur­day, June 30, In­door Flea Mar­ket, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free mu­sic by Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods to close out the car­ni­val fol­lowed by a fire­works fi­nale at 10 p.m.

The Blazer Foun­da­tion is an in­de­pen­dent, non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion cre­ated and ad­min­is­tered by a board of com­mu­nity vol­un­teers to re­ceive and al­lo­cate re­sources that will serve to en­hance the district’s ed­u­ca­tional and cul­tural pro­grams and en­rich the stu­dents of the Daniel Boone Area School District. We are part­ners with the Daniel Boone Area School District, its stu­dents and its com­mu­nity; how­ever we are not a branch of the school district.

The foun­da­tion ob­tains fund­ing from do­na­tions of busi­nesses and in­di­vid­u­als, and uses those funds to pro­vide en­hance­ments to ed­u­ca­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties that may not be sup­ported by the school district’s bud­get.
