EX­ETER 28, DANIEL BOONE 14>> At Birdsboro Oct. 26, Jeremiah Nixon ran for 110 yards for one touch­down and had a key 29-yard re­cep­tion in the Ea­gles’ vic­tory over the Blaz­ers in the Pig Iron Bowl.

Tommy Buchert had touch­down runs of 72 and three yards for Boone. He led the Blaz­ers’ ground game with 100 yards. Field hockey EX­ETER 4, STATE COL­LEGE 0 >> At Shilling­ton Oct. 24, Pey­ton Halsey and Ella Mail­lie each had a goal and an as­sist to lead the Ea­gles to a District 3-AAA first-round win over State Col­lege.

Ari­ana Kline and Katie Roper com­pleted Ex­eter’s scor­ing. In goal, Gabby Boyer needed to make only two stops to get the clean sheet. Girls soc­cer EX­ETER 2, GOV. MIF­FLIN 1 >> At Shilling­ton Oct. 23, Ma­rina Mess­ner scored from 35 yards away with 4:09 to go in the sec­ond OT as the No. 10 Ea­gles de­feated the No. 7 Mus­tangs in the open­ing round of the District 3-4A play­offs.

Jackie Richards scored the equal­izer from 22 yards out with 11:50 re­main­ing in

reg­u­la­tion for Ex­eter (14-5). Gil­lian Maack scored on a free kick just out­side and to the right of the box for Gov. Mif­flin (12-7-2). CUM­BER­LAND VAL­LEY 3, EX­ETER 0 >> At Me­chan­ics­burg Oct. 27, the Ea­gles kept it score­less in the first half but couldn’t hold off No. 2 Cum­ber­land Val­ley in a District 3-4A sec­ond round game, end­ing Ex­eter’s sea­son.

Gillyan Dew­brew’s 12save goal­tend­ing was the high­light for Ex­eter (14-6) Boys wa­ter polo EX­ETER 10, PERKIOMEN VALLEY7>> At Al­bright Col­lege Oct. 22, Luke Sco­bo­ria scored four goals to lead the Ea­gles over the Vik­ings.

James Creamer, Bran­don Noecker, and Chris Sco­bo­ria scored two goals each for Ex­eter (18-10). Girls wa­ter polo PERKIOMEN VAL­LEY 10, EX­ETER 4 >> At Al­bright Col­lege Oct. 22, the Ea­gles (29, 4-17) got goals from As­ley Cre­gar, Lana Jor­dan, Cather­ine Rolon, and Tay­lor Stech in a loss to the Vik­ings.

Kai­ley Hughes had a five-save game in goal for Ex­eter (2-9, 14-7) while Emi McDonough added an­other four stops. GOV. MIF­FLIN 16, PENNRIDGE

7>> At Shilling­ton Oct. 23, Em­i­lie Ger­hard had eight

goals and an as­sist to lead the Mus­tangs into the state tourn­ment.

Emma Steck­iel added four goals for Mif­flin. With the win, the Mus­tangs were the No. 4 seed for the PSWPL Tour­na­ment that started Fri­day at Wil­son. GOV. MIF­FLIN 12, VILLA MARIA5>> On Oct. 26, the Mus­tangs were led by Ava En­riquez who had seven goals and two as­sists in a win over Villa Maria in the Penn­syl­va­nia State Wa­ter Polo Cham­pi­onships.

Court­ney Novotny and Emma Steckle also scored two goals apiece for Mif­flin. Em­i­lie Ger­hard (five as­sists) com­pleted the Mus­tangs’ scor­ing.

WIL­SON 7, GOV. MIF­FLIN 6 >> At Wil­son Oct. 27, Ava En­riquez and Emma Steck­iel had two goals for GM. CUM­BER­LAND VAL­LEY 10,

GOV. MIF­FLIN 9 >> On Oct. 27, Em­i­lie Ger­hard had three goals and an as­sist and Emma Steck­iel had two goals and an as­sist as the Mus­tangs fell to Cum­ber­land Val­ley in a PSWPL con­so­la­tion match.

Cam­ryn Hubric and Mor­gan McMa­hon each added a goal and as­sist for Mif­flin (21-8), with Ava en­riquez and Court­ney Hubric com­plet­ing the point pro­duc­tion. The Mus­tangs end the 2018 sea­son fourth in states.
