A healthcare provider and One Door Polk partner will be holding their first ever Community Block Party at the end of this week in Cedartown.

Organizers from Primary Healthcare are putting together their first ever block party, that will also double as a health and resources fair for all to enjoy.

Kim Carlock with Primary Healthcare said that along with health officials from her organization being on hand for local residents to get information from on services they provide, they will also have the Cedartown Police Department and Cedartown Fire Department on hand.

The free event will also f eature f ood, carnival- style games and a fruit and vegetables food truck with giveaways going on during the day.

“This is a way for us to get out and help the community locally, and we’re hoping it will be a great success,” said Carlock.

Those interested in participating in the fair at One Door Polk can visit from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday.

“We hope everyone will come out and participate in our free, family fun oriented event,” Carlock said.
