Hap and Leonard crew makes dates of­fi­cial

hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. be­tween Ster­ling Hol­loway Place and Stubbs Street.

Fol­low­ing on Sept. 27, they’ll close off Main Street again be­tween Noyes Street and Ware Street from 9 a. m. to 7 p.m. and full-ve­hi­cle clo­sure fol­low­ing un­til 10 p.m.

The same stretch of Main Street will be closed again on Sept. 28, with a lane clo­sure as well be­tween 1 and 11 p.m.

The final day of shooting cur­rently sched­uled for Sept. 29 for Main Street be­tween Noyes and West Ware streets be­tween 1 and 7 p.m. and full traf­fic clo­sure be­tween 7 p.m. and 2 a.m.

“We strive to be re­spon­si­ble and re­spect­ful guests in your neigh­bor­hood, and to that end, we are work­ing with the De­part­ment of Trans­porta­tion and Cedar­town Po­lice De­part­ment of­fi­cers will be present on the above dates to en­sure public safety,” the letter stated.

Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions also went up dur­ing the final week of Au­gust and ahead of La­bor Day for film crews to have for use as back­drops for their fic­tional town of Grove­town, Texas, cel­e­brat­ing the hol­i­days in 1989.

The up­com­ing third sea­son of Hap and Leonard is ex­pected to pre­miere in spring 2018 on Sun­dance TV.
