Transition fair for CCA students coming up in Oct.

The Polk County College and Career Academy will be gathering students late in the month of October to take part in their 2017 Transition Fair, and are looking for local businesses to take part.

According to Tracy Reynolds, the Transition Fair being held on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. is much like the traditional college or career fairs held for students as they are looking toward their futures as high school winds down. Where the difference lies is the combination of the variety of options for students.

“The idea is to help them transition from high school to the post-secondary world, whether they go from a job to school or a training program for a trade,” Reynolds said.

The event is free for any business vendors looking for employees to take part in for October. For more information on how to participate, contact Reynolds at 770-684-8719 or email her at treynolds@polk.k12.ga.us.
