Polk County man charged with threat­en­ing of­fi­cers

A Polk County man was ar­rested in Rome af­ter al­legedly re­sist­ing of­fi­cers, then mak­ing threats against them at a lo­ca­tion in North Rome.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd county Jail re­ports:

Rod­er­ick De­juan Stocks, 39, of 222 Gor­don Street in Rock­mart was ap­proached by po­lice at the corner of Har­vey Street and Copeland Av­enue in North Rome.

He re­sisted an of­fi­cer, re­fused to give his name and date of birth and made threats against the two city po­lice pa­trol of­fi­cers.

Stocks was charged with three counts of felony ter­ror­is­tic threats and mis­de­meanors for ob­struc­tion, dis­or­derly con­duct and sim­ple as­sault.
