Local youth gave back once again as a scout troop helps with shopping trips for children in need for Christmas. The Aragon Boy Scout Troop No. 17 helped the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office with their annual Cops for Kids Christmas shopping event.

This was the 19th annual Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Cops for Kids Christmas shopping event held on Dec. 16 which took over 225 underprivileged children shopping with a Deputy.

Troop 17 helped with everything from unloading buggies to scanning items and putting them in bags. The Scouts were an invaluable asset to this process and it was a great way for them to give back to the community.

A release f rom t he group said that “each one of the Scouts enjoyed their time helping with the Cops for Kids event and have already asked to come back and help again next year.”

They also wished everyone Merry Christmas.
