Nick Chubb visiting teams ahead of NFL draft
Several other NFL teams are suddenly showing interest in Nick Chubb as the annual draft draws closer.
The star Georgia and Cedartown Bulldog running back has additional pro programs seeking out his services in the backfield, with the big home team for Georgia among those Chubb is expected to visit.
He is likely to stop by the Atlanta Falcons in the days to come, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after ESPN.com announced in past weeks that he’d be visiting with the Carolina Panthers as the countdown to the draft continues.
Speculation over Chubb’s future is just one storyline from the Bulldog from this past week.
He sported a Dale Murphy throwback jersey and took to the stands of Suntrust Park to take part in an annual tradition on opening day for the Atlanta Braves.
Chubb was honored by the Braves by delivering the command “Play Ball!” to the Braves and Phillies during Atlanta’s opening day celebrations. News of team visits and an appearance at Suntrust Park are just a few of the many items floating around in the run-up to finding out where he’ll end up when the NFL comes back to training camps in August 2018.
Chubb has been recently profiled and written about in Sports Illustrated, ESPN and more ahead of the professional football draft.
He spent numerous weeks following Georgia’s loss in the National Championship game to Alabama in early January training for the NFL combine in Cedartown, utilizing his alma mater’s gym facilities to work out and also help local players improve their performance.
