EASTON — The driver of a Ford Escape SUV was not injured Wednesday, Oct. 26, after her vehicle crashed through the front entrance of Dankmeyer Prosthetics & Orthotics off Idlewild Avenue in Easton.

According to Easton police, Mary K. Crawley, 62, of Centreville was in the parking lot when she accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brakes. Her vehicle went over the curb and straight into the front entrance of the building, causing damage to the doorway and small foyer.

A building inspector deemed the building safe for occupancy, however the front entrance to Dankmeyer Prosthetics & Orthotics was boarded up, and others were asked to use a different entry and exit behind the building, police said.

According to police, the vehicle was drivable, but was towed due to a cracked windshield.

Police said Crawley refused treatment at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
