FEDERALSBURG — Anita Richard­son, 90, of Federalsburg, MD, passed away early Mon­day morn­ing, Oc­to­ber 24, 2016 at Nan­ti­coke Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal. Born in Federalsburg on Nov. 25, 1925, she was the daugh­ter of the late Reuben D. and Marie El­iz­a­beth Magers Se­gars. She at­tended Federalsburg Ele­men­tary School and grad­u­ated Federalsburg High School Class of 1942. Fur­ther­ing her ed­u­ca­tion, she grad­u­ated Wes­ley Ju­nior Col­lege in Dover, DE, class of 1944. She mar­ried Wil­liam Ralph Richard­son Jr. on April 25, 1954 and they just cel­e­brated 62 years of mar­riage.

She re­turned to Federalsburg and be­gan her ca­reer in bank­ing with the County Trust Com­pany on July 1, 1944. Af­ter 44 years she re­tired on Sept. 1, 1988, as As­sis­tant Vice Pres­i­dent and man­ager of the Federalsburg branch of MD Na­tional Bank.

She was a mem­ber and at­tended the First Church of God for 75 years where she held many of­fices in the church. Since 2001, she and her hus­band Bill at­tended the At­lanta Road Al­liance Church in Seaford, DE. They en­joyed trav­el­ing, not only in the U.S., but abroad as well. She served on the board of Hill­crest Ceme­tery for many years and was a mem­ber of the Federalsburg His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by one sis­ter, Eve­lyn Dun ov a n in 2004 and one brother Reuben Carl­ton Se­gars on June 7, 1999. In ad­di­tion to her hus­band Bill, she is sur­vived by many nieces and neph­ews.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 2, 1 p.m. at Wil­liamson Fu­neral Home, Federalsburg, with Pas­tor Jonathan Sut­ton, Min­is­ter of the At­lantic Road Al­liance Church of­fi­ci­at­ing. Fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Tues­day, Novem­ber 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the fu­neral home. In­ter­ment will take place at the Hill­crest Ceme­tery in Federalsburg. Pall­bear­ers will be Robert E. Dono­van Jr., Paul Hast­ings Jr., Ge­orge Ed­ward Rider, Jay Rider, Hamil­ton Brake, Dale Kenton, Wil­liam R. Richard­son and Brian Richard­son.
