Corden joins pediatric practice
EASTON — Joe Sheehan president and CEO of Choptank Community Health; has announced that effective Oct. 3, 2016, Dr. Brian Corden has joined the organization as a pediatric provider.
After 22 years of private practice in Easton, 18 years as a solo practitioner, Corden decided to make a change in his practice model to become a practitioner with one of the largest health care provider groups on the Mid-Shore.
Corden graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and holds a PH.D from Brown University, as well as a chemistry degree from Georgetown University.
Corden spent several years practicing in the pediatric oncology field and served as faculty with Georgetown University School of Medicine, University of Tennessee School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and Emory University School of Medicine. Corden served as a member of the U.S. Public Health Service for more than 23 years.
Corden will remain in his current location along with key staff personnel, and will continue to care for patients as he has been, but now will have the additional support of highly qualified colleagues to provide additional coverage.
Since 1980, Choptank Health has provided primary and preventive medical and dental care to the residents of the Mid -Shore. Community Health Centers, also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers are non- profit, community- directed health care providers. Across the nation, over 1,300 community health centers serve more than 22 million Americans in over 9,000 service delivery sites, playing a unique and vital role in the U. S. health care system.
Corden said, “I strongly believe in the Community Health Center philosophy, that healthcare should be available to everyone.”
Corden said he values his patients and feels confident that patients and families will benefit from the many additional services that will be available to them as part of the Choptank Health organization.
Corden and staff will to assist their patients in the transition process.
