Dixon House hires new reg­is­tered nurse

EAS­TON — Lisa Har­ri­son of Hur­lock has been hired as del­e­gat­ing reg­is­tered nurse at the Dixon House in Eas­ton. Har­ri­son was raised in Dorch­ester County and grad­u­ated from the Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege nurs­ing pro­gram.

Linda El­ben, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor; said, “I have known and worked with Lisa for 11 years. I hired her at my pre­vi­ous place of em­ploy­ment, Pleas­ant Day Adult Day Care. We worked closely to­gether for seven years be­fore she took a po­si­tion in a lo­cal nurs­ing home.”

“I am en­joy­ing work­ing with Lisa again. We share sim­i­lar be­liefs and philoso­phies about the ag­ing pop­u­la­tion and how to best serve them at The Dixon House,” El­ben said.

Har­ri­son, who has al­ways worked with the ag­ing pop­u­la­tion, said, “Work­ing with se­niors is my call­ing. I am self-sat­is­fied with my job and love com­mu­ni­cat­ing and lis­ten­ing to the sto­ries they share.”
