Del­mar Elite wins SCYB Sum­mer League

AMER­I­CAN COR­NER — Four teams com­peted in this year’s South Car­o­line Youth Bas­ket­ball League, which wrapped up its sea­son with play­offs at Colonel Richard­son Mid­dle School on Wed­nes­day.

In the end, Del­mar Elite came out on top with a 5251 de­feat of the East Coast League from Sus­sex County, Delaware.

The sum­mer league, aimed at bring­ing more mid­dle school play­ers into bas­ket­ball, was held at Colonel in con­junc­tion with Car­o­line County Recre­ation and Parks and the Car­o­line Board of Ed­u­ca­tion.

Del­mar de­feated County Richard­son Mid­dle School in a close game to move to the cham­pi­onship round. East Coast Elite de­feated Fu­ture Stars of Queen Anne’s County in the se­cond game to also move to the cham­pi­onship game.
