The Sky­lark Celtic Trio, a group that plays Celtic and con­tem­po­rary mu­sic, will per­form from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Tues­day, Nov. 14, as part of Carpe Diem Arts’ free lunchtime per­for­mance se­ries at the Tal­bot County Se­nior Cen­ter.

EAS­TON — The Sky­lark Celtic Trio, a group that plays Celtic and con­tem­po­rary mu­sic, will per­form from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Tues­day, Nov. 14, as part of Carpe Diem Arts’ free lunchtime per­for­mance se­ries at the Tal­bot County Se­nior Cen­ter.

The trio has played ev­ery­where from the Kennedy Cen­ter to the Birch­mere, from New York to Paris.

Fea­tur­ing fid­dle, flute, gui­tar, bouzouki, pen­ny­whis­tle and vo­cals, Sky­lark re­leased its first al­bum, “Tunes and Songs from Celtic Lands,” in March 2014. Fea­tur­ing Seán Heely on fid­dle and vo­cals, Elise Kress on flute, pen­ny­whis­tle and vo­cals, and Zan McLeod on gui­tar and bouzouki.

Seán Heely (fid­dle and vo­cals) is at home in a va­ri­ety of gen­res, in­clud­ing clas­si­cal, Scot­tish, Ir­ish, blue­grass and gypsy swing. He is a U.S Na­tional Scot­tish Fid­dle cham­pion and an award-win­ning Ir­ish fid­dler.

Elise Kress (flute, pen­ny­whis­tle and vo­cals) has re­ceived ac­claim for her singing and play­ing at the Stu­dio Theatre, the At­las Theatre, the Kennedy Cen­ter, Strath­more Hall, the Birch­mere and more. Her al­bum, “Present, Past and Fu­ture,” won the Wam­mie award for Best Celtic Al­bum of the Year.

Zan McLeod’s (gui­tar and bouzoukia) mu­si­cal cre­den­tials span many gen­res and in­flu­ences. He has per­formed across the globe with mu­si­cians from The Chief­tains to the Red Clay Ram­blers.

This pro­gram is made pos­si­ble by the sup­port of the Tal­bot County Arts Coun­cil with rev­enues pro­vided by the Mary­land State Arts Coun­cil, and by the Mid-Shore Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion, Dock Street Foun­da­tion, Brook­letts Place, the Artis­tic In­sights Fund, and by in­di­vid­ual con­tri­bu­tions to the Carpe Diem Arts Out­reach Fund/MSCF.
