Dallas expects Lee to miss 3 games

(TNS) — The Cowboys are bracing to play the remainder of the month without Pro Bowl linebacker Sean Lee.

Sources say it appears Lee will miss the next three games as he recovers from a pulled hamstring. There’s an outside chance he could return for the team’s rematch with Washington to end the month, but sources say it’s more likely he’ll be out until the team faces the New York Giants on Dec. 10, giving him nearly one full month to recover.

There’s no way Lee will be ready for Sunday night’s showdown against Philadelphia. Since that begins a stretch of three games in 12 days for the Cowboys, the club is proceeding as if he’ll miss all of those games given the nature of the injury.

Lee missed the Cowboys’ first two games in October with a hamstring injury. He was injured in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to Atlanta, eight defensive snaps into the game, when he was hit by Falcons left tackle Jake Matthews.

“We’ll take it day by day and don’t anticipate him practicing certainly immediately this week,” head coach Jason Garrett said of Lee at his Monday afternoon news conference. “It might be some time.

“We’ll see.”
