Talbot Schools set for American Education Week
EASTON — Talbot County Public Schools will hold open houses and school tours at all nine district schools during American Education Week, Nov. 13 through Nov. 17.
School tours will take place Wednesday, Nov. 15. TCPS Collegiate Spirit Day is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17.
An initiative of the National Education Association ( NEA) along with other co- sponsors, the theme of this year’s American Education Week is “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility.”
The National Education Association’s 96th annual American Education Week “presents all Americans with an opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring every child receives a quality education,” according to nea.org.
American Education Week is always celebrated the week before the week of Thanksgiving.
