Tal­bot Schools set for Amer­i­can Ed­u­ca­tion Week

EAS­TON — Tal­bot County Pub­lic Schools will hold open houses and school tours at all nine dis­trict schools dur­ing Amer­i­can Ed­u­ca­tion Week, Nov. 13 through Nov. 17.

School tours will take place Wed­nes­day, Nov. 15. TCPS Col­le­giate Spirit Day is sched­uled for Fri­day, Nov. 17.

An ini­tia­tive of the Na­tional Ed­u­ca­tion As­so­ci­a­tion ( NEA) along with other co- spon­sors, the theme of this year’s Amer­i­can Ed­u­ca­tion Week is “Great Pub­lic Schools: A Ba­sic Right and Our Re­spon­si­bil­ity.”

The Na­tional Ed­u­ca­tion As­so­ci­a­tion’s 96th an­nual Amer­i­can Ed­u­ca­tion Week “presents all Amer­i­cans with an op­por­tu­nity to cel­e­brate pub­lic ed­u­ca­tion and honor in­di­vid­u­als who are mak­ing a dif­fer­ence in en­sur­ing every child re­ceives a qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion,” ac­cord­ing to nea.org.

Amer­i­can Ed­u­ca­tion Week is al­ways cel­e­brated the week be­fore the week of Thanksgiving.
