Lay­ton’s Chance hosts 9th an­nual har­vest event

— Lay­ton’s Chance Vine­yard & Win­ery will host its 9th an­nual har­vest cel­e­bra­tion Satur­day, Oct. 13. The event will take place from 12-7 p.m. at 4225 New Bridge Rd., a news re­lease states.

The event will cel­e­brate the end of the grow­ing sea­son, as well as all things grape har­vest­ing, the re­lease states.

The event will in­clude mu­si­cal per­for­mances by the Am­per­sand Folk Band, J. Coursey Wil­lis and the Wheel­house Band. The event will also fea­ture hay rides, pony rides, agri­cul­tural demon­stra­tions, food and craft ven­dors and a moon bounce. Guests also will be able to par­tic­i­pate in a grape stomp­ing event.

Guests are en­cour­age to bring blan­kets, lawn chairs, sun screen and bug spray. Lay­ton’s Chance Tast­ing Room and gift shop will be open dur­ing the event. Out­side food and non-al­co­holic bev­er­ages are al­lowed on the premises, how­ever, out­side al­co­hol is not per­mit­ted.

Tick­ets are $12 in ad­vance or $15 at the event. Ad­mis­sion in­cludes a com­mem­o­ra­tive wine glass and coupon for a tast­ing or a glass of wine. Guests un­der the age of 21 and Lay­ton’s Chance Gold Leaf Club mem­bers en­ter free. For more in­for­ma­tion visit www.lay­ton­
