Layton’s Chance hosts 9th annual harvest event
— Layton’s Chance Vineyard & Winery will host its 9th annual harvest celebration Saturday, Oct. 13. The event will take place from 12-7 p.m. at 4225 New Bridge Rd., a news release states.
The event will celebrate the end of the growing season, as well as all things grape harvesting, the release states.
The event will include musical performances by the Ampersand Folk Band, J. Coursey Willis and the Wheelhouse Band. The event will also feature hay rides, pony rides, agricultural demonstrations, food and craft vendors and a moon bounce. Guests also will be able to participate in a grape stomping event.
Guests are encourage to bring blankets, lawn chairs, sun screen and bug spray. Layton’s Chance Tasting Room and gift shop will be open during the event. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises, however, outside alcohol is not permitted.
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the event. Admission includes a commemorative wine glass and coupon for a tasting or a glass of wine. Guests under the age of 21 and Layton’s Chance Gold Leaf Club members enter free. For more information visit www.laytonschance.com.
