EAS­TON — SCORE Mid-Shore has an­nounced sev­eral work­shops for small busi­nesses this fall.

SCORE Mid-Shore pro­vides con­fi­den­tial, free ad­vice and men­tor­ing to the small busi­ness en­trepreneurial com­mu­nity. It helps to es­tab­lish and grow small busi­nesses, plus en­hance over­all busi­ness op­er­a­tions.

• Get your small busi­ness found on­line

This half-day work­shop in­tro­duces the user to dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing and the var­ied so­cial me­dia plat­forms, ex­plains how to de­velop and im­ple­ment a dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing plan, dis­cusses the use of en­gag­ing con­tent such as videos, in­fo­graph­ics, and/or blogs, and iden­ti­fies the over­all pro/con fac­tors in utiliz­ing so­cial me­dia.

This one day work­shop fea­tures a va­ri­ety of busi­ness pro­fes­sion­als cov­er­ing a wide range of “must know” top­ics if you are start­ing a small busi­ness. As an in­tro­duc­tory work­shop, top­i­cal ar­eas cov­ered in­clude busi­ness plan­ning, record keep­ing, in­sur­ance and risk man­age­ment, le­gal struc­tures, busi­ness loans, fi­nan­cial ser­vices and mar­ket strat­egy.

This half-day work­shop will help in work­ing with the desk­top ver­sion of Quick­Books. It cov­ers record­ing of fi­nan­cial trans­ac­tions from all sources into Quick­Books as well as record-keep­ing con­cepts, ac­count­ing pro­ce­dures, fi­nan­cial state­ments within Quick­Books and some in­come tax as­pects. Quick­books Desk­top of­fers some spe­cial fea­tures such as bud­get­ing, cus­tom­ized forms and no re­cur­ring monthly charge.

This half-day work­shop will ad­dress key ar­eas such as busi­ness bank­ing of­fer­ings, SBA guar­an­teed loans, lines of credit, fi­nan­cial sus­tain­abil­ity, term loans, debt/ eq­uity, risk barom­e­ters and over­all busi­ness money man­age­ment.
