DELAWARE — Su­san Garey Dill, 67, of Re­hoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Tues­day, Novem­ber 6, 2018 at At­lantic General Hos­pi­tal, in Ber­lin, MD. She was born on March 12, 1951 in Den­ton, MD, daugh­ter of the late Wil­liam R. and Har­ri­ett E. Garey.

Ms. Dill was a long-time care­giver at the Den­ton Child De­vel­op­ment Cen­ter and a for­mer Mayor of Den­ton, where she helped cre­ate the Caro­line County Sum­mer­fest. She spent many en­joy­able sum­mers in Re­hoboth Beach, which in­flu­enced her de­ci­sion to re­tire there. Her love of the beach and the ocean was only sur­passed by her af­fec­tion for her adored fam­ily. Ms. Dill was a lov­ing and de­voted mother, grand­mother, sis­ter, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ms. Dill is sur­vived by her beloved daugh­ter, Melinda Dill Camp­bell and her hus­band David; her grand­chil­dren: Harper, Jack, Grant; her brother, Alan Garey and his wife Sherry; her sis­ter, Har­ri­ett Smith and her hus­band Curt; and her many nieces and neph­ews.

En­tomb­ment ser­vices will take place at the colum­bar­ium at Ep­worth Methodist Ceme­tery, Hen­lopen Ave., Re­hoboth Beach, DE, on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12 at 1 p.m. Ar­range­ments are be­ing han­dled by Parsell Fu­neral Homes and Cre­ma­to­rium, Lewes, DE.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily sug­gests con­tri­bu­tions in Ms. Dill’s mem­ory to the Den­ton Child De­vel­op­ment Cen­ter, 222 South 4th Street, Den­ton, MD 21629.
