East New Market man faces drug charge after traffic stop
EASTON — Easton police on Wednesday, Oct. 31, arrested an East New Market man on a drug charge during a traffic stop.
According to police, officers in the area of U.S. Route 50 and Dutchmans Lane saw a green Mazda heading east on Route 50, speeding and with expired registration plates.
Police said the officers stopped the vehicle, and during the stop, a K9 scan led to the recovery of the drug Suboxone from a passenger, identified as Justin Scott Cook, 37, of East New Market.
Cook was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana), taken before a Talbot County District Court commissioner and released on personal recognizance.
