Dove Cameron (“Liv & Mad­die”) stars in this fam­ily-friendly new drama as Kayla, a prima donna snow­boarder whose team dumps her. She’s forced to train with Will (Luke Ben­ward, “Good Luck Char­lie”), a for­mer cham­pion branded as a fail­ure af­ter a ca­reer-end­ing wipe­out, and she be­comes as help­ful to him as he is to her. Jef­frey Nordling (“Body of Proof”) also stars.

Movie: It’s Christ­mas, Eve

In­terim school su­per­in­ten­dent Eve Mor­gan (Leann Rimes) makes her liv­ing trav­el­ing around and try­ing to turn around the for­tunes of fail­ing schools, but she’s sur­prised when she is as­signed to visit one in her home­town. In the course of events there, she meets sin­gle dad Liam Bai­ley (Tyler Hynes, “UN­REAL”), head of the school’s mu­sic depart­ment, which is cling­ing to life by a thread. For­tu­nately for him, mu­sic is close to Eve’s heart. Rimes also wrote and per­forms two orig­i­nal songs in this new hol­i­day drama.

Greg Ber­lanti directed this feel-good 2018 charmer that is no­table for be­ing the first film by a ma­jor Hol­ly­wood stu­dio to fo­cus on a gay teen ro­mance. Nick Robin­son stars as sub­ur­ban At­lanta teenager Si­mon Spier, who is well-liked by his class­mates. They don’t know that Si­mon is gay, but a class­mate dis­cov­ers Si­mon’s se­cret when Si­mon ex­changes e-mails with an­other clos­eted stu­dent. Josh Duhamel and Jen­nifer Gar­ner play Si­mon’s sup­port­ive par­ents; Keiy­nan Lons­dale (“The Flash”) and Kather­ine Lang­ford co-star.
