WEST COLUMBIA — Billy Keith “Bill” Eden, 87, of West Columbia, SC went home to be with the Lord on Thurs­day, No­vem­ber 8, 2018. He was born in Berea, KY, the son of the late Jesse Arthur Eden and the late Gla­dys Norvelle Eden.

Bill was a ded­i­cated hus­band and fa­ther, sur­vived by his wife of 53 years, Lucy Wise Eden; chil­dren, Cindy (Laird) Thomp­son, Randy (Sharon) Eden, Melody (Mike) Collins and Bil­lie Kay (Jeff) Mor­ris; grand­chil­dren, Ja­cob and Ni­cholas Thomp­son, Evan Eden, Grant and Keith Gou­veia, Jonathan Eden, Mic Collins, Jesse, Cole, Faith and Sam Mor­ris, and 9 great grand­chil­dren. He was pre­de­ceased by his sis­ter, Delores Eden Kucera.

Bill was an Air Force vet­eran and a mem­ber of Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 90. He was also a proud mem­ber of Fort Motte Hunt Club and Po Boys Hunt Club. Bill was re­tired from Fed­eral Land Bank and a mem­ber of Platt Springs United Methodist Church.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11, 2018 in the sanc­tu­ary of Platt Springs United Methodist Church, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, im­me­di­ately fol­lowed by a fu­neral ser­vice con­ducted by Rev­erend Michael Hood. A pri­vate burial will fol­low in Ce­les­tial Memo­rial Gar­dens. Thomp­son Fu­neral Home of Lex­ing­ton is as­sist­ing the fam­ily.
