do better,” said Holman. A former civil trial attorney turned Certified Financial Planner®, he also received his certificate as a Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA) from the Wharton School of Business. “We offer federally insured CD’s that are tied to both the stock market and to commodities markets where you can never lose principal. The only question is how much you make every year.”

Karis Holman is in charge of Circle of Safety’s first circle, which according to John Holman is something that clients don’t often ask about – and very few advisors ever talk about. “Property and casualty insurance is where you need to start if you are going to protect somebody. Most people don’t have an umbrella policy to protect them against liability in today’s litigious society,” he said. While every state recommends that people review their property and casualty insurance yearly, Holman suggests that very few people actually do that.

For the next step in the Circle of Safety process, Holman works with clients until they have complete protection of principal to cap their downside risk, and start to earn the benefits of long-term investing.

“Our principle is to protect capital, produce income – and to allow people to sleep better at night,” Holman emphasized.
