The Sun Herald - - Sports -

Jessica McDonald, making just her second appearance for the national team, scored in the 43rd minute and the U.S. reached its 500th victory with a 1-0 win over Portugal in Lisbon. The Americans remain undefeated this year at 17 wins and two ties.

French powerhouse Paris St.-Germain acknowledged that for the past five years some of its youth coaches used racial profiling in the recruitment of young players, hours after a news report that it was part of an effort to limit the number of black players signed by the club. Scouts were asked to check a box noting each player’s “origin.”
