Longoria, Rodriguez to get Latino media award
Eva Longoria and Gina Rodriguez will be among those honored at the American Latino Media Arts awards on Nov. 4.
Wilmer Valderrama is host of the celebration of Latino achievements in American entertainment and media.
Activists Samantha Fuentes and Jamie Margolin also will be honored. Fuentes survived the Parkland, Florida, school shooting, and Margolin founded the Zero Hour movement to address climate change.
UnidosUS, previously known as National Council of La Raza, created the ALMA awards in 1995 as a way to promote fair, accurate and balanced portrayals of Latinos in the entertainment industry.
