Beautiful Angel Fire homes on parade Labor Day weekend
Check out the Moreno Valley and some beautiful homes over Labor Day Weekend with the 11th annual Angel Fire Parade of Homes Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 1-2). The parade, hosted by the Sangre de Cristo Homebuilders Association, will feature 14 newly built abodes showcasing the latest mountain trends in design and functionality.
The tour begins at the Angel Fire Visitors Center, 3365 Mountain View Boulevard.
Angel Fire, located in the Southern Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico, has been dubbed “America’s Most Affordable Ski Town” by Realtor.com and ranked a Top 25 “Best Family Ski Resort in North America,” and has set record high sales in both 2016 and 2017, according to information from Realtors.
New builds and existing home sales have skyrocketed in the small resort community over the past two years.
One of Angel Fire’s established builders, B.J. Lindsey of Lindsey Custom Homes will showcase nine homes during the two-day parade.
“It’s been exciting to watch new construction take off over the past few years,” Lindsey said. “We’ve noticed more families coming up to Angel Fire who are looking to build their affordable family dream home. What many families are finding is that we can give them cutting-edge mountain homes at a fraction of the price of other resort towns.”
As other popular mountain states continue to fight huge crowds and sky-high real estate prices, small but stunning resort communities like Angel Fire are taking advantage. Over the past two years existing home sales are up 43 percent, according to the homebuilders association.
The homes on display span the price range from $400,000 to $ 1.2 million. Some of the houses on the tour are for sale. The tour is free to attend.
“The great thing about the Parade of Homes is even if you don’t find a home you want to buy, there are great design ideas to inspire buyers,” Lindsey added. “It also gives buyers a chance to meet with builders and Realtors to see what is possible and how we can make your vision of becoming a mountain homeowner a reality.”
The Angel Fire Parade of Homes runs Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will start at the Angel Fire visitors center where magazines with a map and directions for the complete tour will be available.
