Patricio “Pat” Lucero, 72 Henderson, Nevada, died Aug. 15
Age 91, a resident of Penasco, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29,
2018. Betty Arrant was born in Chamisal, to Jose Paz and Leonarda Lopez on March 09,
1927. She was a graduate of Menaul High School in 1945. She was married to Bill Arrant in 1976. She graduated from Highlands University with a degree in education. She worked as a Librarian for Taos Middle School for 21 years. Her life was dedicated to making a difference in the education of children. She loved reading, cooking, gardening and taking care of her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Paz and Leonarda Lopez, her first husband, Benito Duran and her second husband, Bill Arrant; son, Benito Duran, Jr.; siblings, Fabiola Dominguez (Ben), Bertha Maestas (Max), Minnie Vigil (Alfonso), Leroy Lopez; brother-in-law, Flavio Gonzales and nephew, Jake King. Betty is survived by her children, Robert Duran (Dina), Joe Michael Duran; siblings, Rosa Gonzales, Bella Armijo (Valerio), Naomi Elizando (Juan), Jose Paz, Jr. (Lougie) and Paul (Teresa); grandchildren, Eunice Duran (Robert), Joe Michael Duran, Jr. (Victoria), Janice Duran (Aron); great- grandchildren, Zoey Duran, AJ Santistevan, and numerous nieces, nephews and a very special niece, Dorothy Gonzales. Services are pending at this time and will be announced once they become available. Serving the family as pallbearers; David Dominguez, Benny Baca, Larry Maestas, Joe Michael Duran, Jr., Aron Santistevan, and Robert Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearers; Zoey Duran, and AJ Santistevan. Patricio “Pat” Lucero
Age 72, passed away in Henderson, NV on August 15, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Pat served with the Marine Corp in San Diego, CA and was a Vietnam Veteran prior to moving to Henderson, NV. Pat is preceded in death by his parents: Samuel & Clorinda Lucero, brother Luis Lucero, Taos NM. Pat is survived by his wife Elida, and sons, Pat Jr., Sam, Bonificio, Alonzo and 11 grandchildren. Four siblings, Dolores Archuleta (Johnny) Alb., NM, Ernest Lucero (JoAnn) Taos, Bonificio Lucero (Mary Lou) Wichita TX, Rebecca Colthup, Phoenix, AZ. Services were at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV.
