Ros­alie Lutz of Bridge­port

Ros­alie “Rosa” Lutz, a wid­owed home­maker, died peace­fully in San Jose, Calif., on Mon­day, Jan. 27, 2014, at the age of 90.

She was born on March 14, 1923, in Us­tianowa, Poland. She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Jo­hann “Hans” Lutz.

Mrs. Lutz was a res­i­dent of Bridge­port since mov­ing to the United States in 1957. Cook­ing, sew­ing and gar­den­ing were her fa­vorite pas­times, and she was a mem­ber of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridge­port. She moved to San Jose in 2010 to be with her son and his fam­ily.

Sur­viv­ing are a son, Robert, and his wife, Pa­tience, of San Jose; two grand- daugh­ters, Amelia Kreutzberg of Farm­ing­ton Hills, Mich., and Kather­ine Lutz of San Jose; and step-grand­son Ben­jamin David­son of San Jose.

A view­ing will be held at Bernard S. Gutkowski Fu­neral Home, 305 Jef­fer­son St., Swedes­burg, PA 19405, on Satur­day, Feb. 1, from 8:30-9:30 a.m., and then a di­vine liturgy will fol­low at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hurst Street and Union Ave., Bridge­port, PA 19405 at 10 a.m., fol­lowed by burial at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Ceme­tery at 11 a.m.
