Richard McFalls of King of Prussia
Richard T. McFalls passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Broomall Presbyterian Village in Broomall, Pa. He was 82. Mr. McFalls was a resident of King of Prussia, Pa. He worked as a property manager for American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Richard was a very active member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, where he was a church elder and sang in the choir. He was also a member of the Phoenixville Country Club and the Early Bird Bowling League, and he enjoyed golf. Richard served on the Upper Merion School Board for over 10 years. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 30, 1932, he was a son of the late Thomas and Florence (Creager) McFalls. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 58 years, Eileen M. (MacGuire) McFalls; four sons, Robert “Tom” McFalls and his wife, Kathy, of Schwenksville, Pa., Steven R. McFalls and his wife, Ann, of Collegeville, Pa., Bruce R. McFalls and his wife, Maria, of Phoenixville, Pa. and David S. McFalls of King of Prussia, Pa.; a daughter, Dorothy E. McFalls, and her husband, Thomas, of W. Chester, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Dana, Shane, Eileen, Jessica, Kayla and Julia; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Thomson and Dorothy Spaulding.
Richard’s Memorial Service will be held at Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, Pa. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at 6 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Blake Brinegar, pastor.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5 to 5:50 p.m., at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd., S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 and/or Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406. Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.
