Mrs. Leona F(rances Mary) Girman (née Dybicz)

A gentle, tender-hearted woman of deep feeling, formerly of Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA, & Swedesburg, PA died at home following a brief illness, early Friday 09 March 2018, aged 69 years 122 days. Like all mankind, Mrs. Girman was acquainted with the sorrow & tribulation in this life consequent to sin, too often believing the lies of this world. Nevertheless, she offered her life as a witness of faith in the saving Divinity of Christ Jesus, whom she loved without compare.

These words are her final testimony to her belief in the Truth of Jesus Christ, GOD’S Son, Saviour; that HE IS the Only-Begotten Son of the Living GOD, born into this world as a man & lived a life as one of us; that as a man HE unjustly suffered & died on a cross; that HE rose bodily from the grave & death the third day; so that whosoever calls upon HIS HOLY NAME, believes upon HIM, lives in accord with such belief, because of HIS offering of HIS Own Blood on the cross, may be washed clean of sin, escaping condemnation to be reconciled to the Living GOD; and, one day hence to come, be raised bodily from the grave & death to be in the midst of the Living GOD, Jesus Christ, GOD’S Son, Saviour; forever to worship, adore, & give thanks; to know Love, and be, in Peace. This is the witness of hope.

Mrs. Girman was preceeded in death by her grand-parents; her parents, her mother-in-law, at least seventeen uncles & aunts; her brother & sister-in-law, her former husband, several of her cousins, two dear friends; her nephew & a niece who were two of her brother’s & sister-in-law’s five children; her own preborn child; a grand-nephew. Mrs. Girman is survived by her sister & brother-in-law; several cousins; the author of these words; three nieces, the daughters of her brother & sister-in-law; a grandniece, six grand-nephews, their families, many greatgrand-nephews/nieces, all descendants of her brother & sister-in-law. Mrs. Girman is additionally survived by all the people beloved of her, who were most significant in her life, whom she encountered daily; the people who showed her care & concern, the people who showed her loving-kindness, the people who will most miss her; the people placed in Mrs. Girman’s path by the Grace of GOD, without whom the sorrows of this world would have made life unbearable.

This is the witness of agape. I now testify, that continually, Mrs. Girman prayed for the souls of all her family and beloveds fallen asleep in death; that continually, she prayed for the lives and well-being of all her family and beloveds now living. She daily remembered these people, by name, in her prayers to the SON OF GOD. So many of those for whom she prayed never knew her in this mortal life, and so many with whom she was acquainted never knew her. In this small & powerful way she did her best to show her love to them, for whom she prayed.

I implore the reader to value the gift of human life from the Living GOD; to choose to value the lives of our brothers and sisters among mankind by freely giving of one-self to another, particularly when it results in heart-ache for the giver. We are blessed by the Living GOD with free will, the agency to freely choose. We are not the authors of human life & our time in this world is justly not ours to decide. It is within our power to freely choose to be agape to each person with whom the Living GOD, Jesus Christ, GOD’S Son, Saviour has gifted us, for the risk of being unwilling to do as much is the grief of heart-break & eternal regret.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing Friday, March 16, 2018, 8:30AM to 9:30AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Panachyda prayers will be offered by Rev. Dr. Ronald Popivchak. The Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00AM in the Barn Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
