David Morgan Morrison
David Morgan Morrison, 65, of Seligman, Mo., died April 17, 2017, at this home. He was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Rogers, Ark., to Morgan Morrison and Clara Marie Williams Morrison.
He married Linda Jean Waddle on Sept. 25, 1968, and retired from GladClorox in Rogers after 42 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam and receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
He enjoyed horses, cattle farming, hunting and visiting with friends over breakfast in Pea Ridge, Ark. He was very fond of his grandchildren and had many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Elzie, Orvest, Quant, Howard and Lester Morrison; and two sisters, Irene Slinkard and Louise Harlan.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Morrison of the home; two sons, Robert Morrison and wife, Dana of Rogers, Shawn Morrison and fiancée, Charlotte Whittmore of Pea Ridge; a brother, Bill Mattox and wife Janice of Garfield, Ark.; and five grandchildren, Johnny, Adam, Megan, Alex and Ashlyn.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. Thursday before the service at the church.
Service was held at
11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at Grace Point Church in Bentonville, Ark., with the Rev. Mike McDaniel officiating.
Burial was in Ruddick Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
