McGEE: No. 1 ranked ‘Hawks have final tune-up
great to see the Pea Ridge name atop the polling.
Of course, getting that No. 1 rank comes with it a set of targets that every opponent from here on out will be shooting for. Any team playing the No. 1 team in the state will be hoping to make a statement by taking down that team. The ’Hawks will have to be on their toes and ready to roll each and every week.
Prairie Grove’s two lopsided wins in their season thus far has elevated them to the No. 2 position with Warren sliding down some more. Shiloh lost to a good Little Rock Christian 5A team and that somehow moved them up a bit to No. 7. The other five teams in the 4A-1 have slipped into the lower tier of the state’s 4A teams.
